Job Description


He or she will be responsible for the day-to-day supervision of the team, as well as the planning and execution of mechanical engineering projects and ensuring that all projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest standards.

Duties and Responsibilities:
• Scheduling repairs and ordering materials to ensure that all equipment is functioning properly
• Inspecting work sites to ensure safety standards are being met
• Training and supervising workers to ensure that they are performing their jobs correctly
• Reporting problems to supervisors so they can be addressed before they become major issues
• Training new employees in proper safety procedures and techniques for using equipment and machinery used on the job site.
• Coordinating with engineers, architects and other construction managers to ensure the work site meets safety requirements and is compliant with building codes
• Ensuring that workers are using standard operating procedures and adhering to safety regulations
• Overseeing the installation of machinery, equipment and other items used in manufacturing processes
• Assigning work tasks to laborers, such as welders, carpenters, masons, painters and other tradesmen.
• Schedule and coordinate the work of a team of mechanics engaged in repairing, installing and maintaining machinery, equipment, and tools
• Oversee the ordering of necessary parts and supplies to complete projects on time
• Inspect completed work to ensure it meets quality standards
• Investigate customer complaints and take appropriate action to resolve them
• Develop long-range plans for the replacement of aging equipment
• Prepare reports detailing the progress of ongoing projects
• Recommend changes in methods or materials to improve efficiency and effectiveness
• Serve as liaison between workers and management

Qualification and Experience:
• A Diploma or Degree in Mechanical Engineering is required.
• 3 years of experience as a Mechanical Maintenance Foreman, is required with at least 2 years in a leadership role
• Proven experience reading and interpreting blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals
• Experience with HVAC, electrical systems and plumbing systems
• Working knowledge of mechanical tools and equipment
• Excellent management and leadership skills.
• Successful candidates with relevant experience and recognized expertise in large onshore/offshore oil and gas EPC projects will be preferred.
