St. Joseph’s Hospital Kitgum, a PNFP Hospital is looking for a suitable person to fill the position of Medical Officer and is required to work under minimal supervision.

QUALIFICATIONS.
• Must have a Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery or its equivalent from a recognized University / Institution.
• Must be registered with the Medical and Dental Practitioners Council with a valid APL

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITY:
• To participate in diagnosis, treatment and proper management of patients,
• To liaise with other cadres in the hospital in the delivery of quality health care to patients.
• To participate in planning and budgeting for the Hospital.
• To participate in assessing health staff performance in the Hospital and completion of their Annual Confidential Reports.
• To participate in ensuring that staff adheres to professional code of conduct.
• To compile periodic reports and submit to Medical Superintendent.
• To participate in research activities.
• To attend relevant meeting and workshop.
• No private practice of any kind is permitted, neither inside nor outside St. Joseph’s Hospital.
• To carry out any other duties assigned by the Medical Superintendent
