Job Title: Medical Services Officer

Duty Station: Kampala, Uganda
Reports to: Country Director

We provide the following Services as it may be vital to you, and respond quickly to attend and Serve you. We provide Ambulances Services for all kind of Emergency Medical Support/ Rescue and for various events for 24/7 hrs by using full equipped Ambulances and Air Charters/Helicopters facilitated by qualified and experienced medical personnel and paramedics. Ambulance Services. (Air and surface medical evacuation, first aid training, occupational health, general consultancy, general waste disposal/management, home based care)
Job Summary: Effective delivery of health and safety services (onsite clinics, emergency medical rescue, occupational health services and consultancy) to all its clients. Manage and implement all departmental operations and foster growth of the department.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:
• Manage departmental operations to ensure smooth running of all services.
• Manage all customer requirements and technical responses to ensure total client satisfaction.
• Identify, analyze and mitigate risks associated with the departmental operations.
• Building and maintenance of relationships with clients, hospitals, medical suppliers, air charters and governmental/regulatory authorities.
• Perform administrative activities including but not limited to coordinating, organizing, supervising and controlling all service deliveries of the department.
• Track, keep records and manage all departmental assets including but limited to ambulances, medical equipment’s, consumables, inventories and drugs materials in order to ensure they are used efficiently and productively.
• Produce, review, ensure compliance and maintain company health related policies, guidelines, procedures and by laws, to ensure legal compliance and operations runs smoothly.
• Set and manage targets for department and each staff within department, track their performance and evaluate periodically so as to ensure all departmental targets are met timely
• Set and implement short and long-term department plans.
• Produce and manage departmental periodic budgets.
• Identify, Analyze and Manage competitors so that we always produce superior services and win market share
• Provide periodic reports including but not limited to monthly, quarterly and annual.
• To perform any other duties assigned by his/her supervisor or line manager

Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
• The applicant should have minimum education of a Diploma in Clinical Medicine
• The required candidate must have BLS and ACLS trainings, ITLS is an added advantage
• Atleast two years of working experience
• Skills: Works well under pressure, High stress tolerance, Quick thinker, Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills, Compassion, Good listening skills, Excellent verbal communication skills, Team player, Physical fitness and strength, Familiar with medical technology, Sound judgement and decision making.
