Job Description


SNV is seeking to recruit the services of a Monitoring Evaluation & Learning Advisor (ME&L Advisor). The Advisor will provide technical insights and advisory services on ME&L products and interventions to the project team. The activities include:

Roles and Duties
• Drafting (annual) ME&L plan, including Results Framework
• Provide support/advise on baseline study
• The ME&L Advisor identifies opportunities and areas for improvement, to ensure quality delivery.
• In line with the evidence-based theme for the IMEU project the ME&L advisor contributes to internal and external knowledge development, ensures lessons learned are shared and applied in daily practice.
• Initiates/ coordinates the review process and evaluation of the interventions in the project to collect lessons learned, proposes possible corrective measures.
• Participates in knowledge development/expertise groups and in internal and external networks.
• The ME&L advisor will support the MDF expert to develop M&E tools to verify the results as will be elaborated under the MDF manual.

Qualifications
• A minimum of a master’s degree in Monitoring and Evaluation from a recognised institution.
• A minimum of 8 years of relevant work experience in monitoring and evaluation of programmes in areas of sustainable markets development, youth in agriculture, energy efficient solutions, and agribusiness finance.
• Ability and demonstrated experience of designing and appraising inclusive business cases.
• Good understanding of Statistical data analysis applications.
• Ability to meet deadlines and to work within a team
• Fluency in written and spoken English
• Computer literate, proficient with MS Word, Excel, and financial applications.
• A self-motivated achiever with excellent leadership, teamwork, coaching,
• Communication, analytical and organisational skills.
• Strong work ethics, high level of confidentiality and Integrity
• Additional Information
• Good report writing skills with proven ability to compile case studies, practice, and policy briefs and (other) documents for learning and sharing.
• Good skills in data base management including data analysis.
• Computer skills and software applications (email, word processing, spreadsheets, statistical programs).
• Skills in teamwork, facilitation, and training.
• Sensitive and committed to gender equity and diversity.
