Avanti Energy Services Limited provides services in project management, engineering, construction supervision, logistics, and professional staffing and recruiting services to the developing oil, gas, and energy production and transmission sectors.

ROLE; NATIONAL CONTENT OFFICER

Objectives
• Coordinate, oversee, and ensure adherence to national content and social affairs requirements expected to be followed by the company and the Project teams. Also, ensure compliance with requirements of Ugandan laws and regulations related to national content and social affairs.
• Support the management of Human Resources for the business development of the Ugandan company.

Responsibilities
• Liaise with Local authorities when required and be the direct local correspondent for any matters about National Content.
• Driving Implementation of the company’s National Content Plan. Align and coordinate with licensees and government agencies in Uganda, on the topic of National Content (NC) and prepare specific reporting geared at achieving specific KPIs about the company’s obligations under its various projects.
Interface with Local suppliers providing goods and services in line with the overall delivery of NC commitments.
• Maintain an active relationship with Local stakeholders with whom delivery of NC is associated – including training, vocational schools, institutes, and universities.
Assist the HR Manager to interface with the company project team in Uganda and be the main point of contact for all National Content matters.
• Understand the schedule and participate in National Content forums, initiatives, drives, events, and seminars.
• Define a plan and Build/Develop Content for engaging in these activities in line with delivering commitments.
• Pay attention to the training of subordinates and ensure that subordinates possess the necessary qualifications and experience to carry out their tasks safely and efficiently.
• Perform the duties and obligations related to the company’s integrated management system.

Requirements
• Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resource Management or a related field.
• At least 3 years of working experience in a role related to national content, social affairs, and HR operations.
• Excellent knowledge of Microsoft packages with a key emphasis on MS, PowerPoint.
• Strong sense of responsibility, overall situation, service, and confidentiality.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Proficient computer skills
