Job Description


The nurse will ensure the delivery of quality HIV/AIDS care and treatment services to clients by participating in assessment, diagnosis & and management of patients, and through the provision of technical support to health facility teams.

Responsibilities and Duties
1. Participate in drawing and implementation of ROM medical work plans documenting best practices and lessons learned on specific program indicators and projects
2. Provide medical care to ROM clients and carry out home and hospital visits where necessary ensuring quality pediatrics and adolescent services.
3. Participate in full antenatal/post-natal care services, child care, and supporting nutrition assessment.
4. Screen, diagnose, and manage TB and other advanced HIV diseases among ROM clients together with community health workers
5. Participate in the appropriate filling of designated registers and EMR in real-time
6. Participate in the health education of clients and refresher training of CATTS on ARVs.
7. Take responsibility for all clinic equipment, ensuring proper custody, and safety, and organize the clinic for effective delivery of services.
8. Liaise with the community to follow up with TB clients and manage them according to National TB and leprosy program guidelines.
9. Work with the supervisors to ensure the standard of procedures (SOPs) are designed and implemented in the section.
10. Support and observe the safeguarding culture in the organization regularly documenting and reporting identified and potential safeguarding issues to the HR.
11. Ensure health, safety, and security in your area of operation, as you promote the vision, mission, and values of Reach Out Mbuya.
12. Any other duties assigned by the immediate supervisor.

Qualifications, Skills and Experience
• Diploma in Nursing
• Full and active registration with the Uganda Nurses and Midwives Council.
• Training in clinical management of HIV/AIDS and opportunistic infections
