Uganda Law Society is a membership organization established by an Act of parliament to provide services to its members in particular and to the people of Uganda. Its vision is to be “A proficient Bar Association in fostering Access to Justice, the Rule of law and good governance in Uganda”. Its mission is to “To develop a skilled and empowered legal profession in execution of its statutory mandate”. Through its Legal Aid Project with Support from the Embassy of Ireland, the Society is seeking qualified and experienced individuals.

Qualifications and Experience
• Master’s degree in Social Science, Business Communication, Marketing, Public Relations or a related field.
• Minimum 8 years of demonstrated experience in developing fund-raising strategy and institutional resource mobilisation, understanding of the development sector and grants management. A proven track record of fundraising from major donors, corporate and foundations.
• At least 5 years’ experience in NGO Sector.
• Proven competence in written and spoken English, Good writing and editorial skills.
• Fluency in French will be an added advantage.
• Proven skills in developing and writing successful funding proposals
• Have high energy, confident presenter who is able to engage people and get them to commit funding/and or to partnering with ULS.
• Strong organizational and time management skills. Also, very strong networking skills and excellent interpersonal relationship skill
