Personnel Supervisor – Human Resources
Location: Kampala, Uganda. Mobilized to Albert Lake, construction sites or other cities if required.
Primary function:
To be responsible for the execution of HR services relating to Personnel management, including Administration, employee engagement, relations management and staff exit.
Responsibilities:
• Maintain and update HR Information System to ensure that all personnel information is properly & accurately captured, effectively managed, and always updated.
Ensure that there are professional relations between and among staff at all levels.
• Participate in the review, development, and execution of HR policies & procedures within the area of assignment.
• Advise and conduct employees exit management process for exiting employees and maintain copies on file.
• Provide the necessary confidential administrative support for all human resource related functions.
Provide support to employees in the interpretation of CUL HR standards and procedures.
• Responsible for the execution of HR services in the areas of employees’ welfare administration.
• Ensure that new staff receive all necessary IT equipment and other services like emails, internet connection, access to systems etc.
Address employee relations issues, such as harassment allegations, work complaints, or other employee concems.
• In collaboration with the HR team, develop the HR Calendar of all-important events for the company and objectives for the Year Support in the work permit process for expatriates.
• Prepare or maintain employment records related to events, such as hiring, termination, leaves, transfers, or promotions, using human resources management system software.
• Any other assignment by the supervisor.
Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree or above in Human resources management, labor economics, psychology or related.
• At least 5 years related working experience preferably in the oil & gas industry.
Knowledge:
• Extensive knowledge HR management and practice.
• Knowledge of the local labor policies and laws.
• Understanding of Oil Exploration and Production.
