Job Description
Assist the machine operator and the plant attendant in meeting pole plant objectives.
Key Result Areas
• Arrange the poles onto trolleys in preparation for treatment.
• Open and close the treatment plant doors before and after the treatment process.
• Participate in pouring creosote oil into the tank (from the drums).
• Fetching creosote oil from the reserve basin back to the cylinder vessel.
• Assist the Machine Operator while carrying out minor repairs.
• Cut (trim) the poles to appropriate length before treatment.
• Carry out daily cleaning within and around the treatment plant.
• Participate in the stacking of both seasoned and treated poles
• Identify risks in the section and devise mechanisms of mitigating them.
• Prepare monthly and annual reports on sectional activities in accordance with UEDCL policies and procedures.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
• A certificate in mechanical engineering from a recognized institute.
• Experience of not less than 2 years in a recognized organization preferably within the energy sector
• Excellent oral and written communication skills and ability to work amidst tight deadlines.
