Job Description
JOB PURPOSE: Reporting to the Program Manager, the role holder will be responsible for producing the required project outputs in accordance with the time, cost, quality, scope, risk, and benefit performance goals.
LOCATION: Kampala
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:
• Undertake day-to-day management of the project, working within defined project constraints of Quality, Budget, Scope, and Time.
• Plan team tasks, and monitor and review outputs within set timelines.
• Create and update all relevant project documents as required by the Project Management Office.
• Manage the allocated projects to ensure they are delivered on time, within scope, quality within budget and meet the objectives set.
• Report project status to the project board, relevant Management committees, Programme Manager, and other key stakeholders.
• Review project activities for compliance with procedures and standards.
• Provide the respective project resources with the correct toolsets and processes, and train and equip them to deliver their projects successfully.
QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE AND COMPETENCIES REQUIRED:
A Bachelors Degree in Project Management, Commerce, Business Administration, Business Statistics or another related field.
• Certification or Training in Agile Project Management (PMP, PRINCE2 or Scaled Agile methodology are preferred).
• Lean Six Sigma Certification or Training is an added advantage.
• At least one to two years experience as a Project Manager in a banking environment or Fintech.
• Proficient with spreadsheet software and project management software (JIRA, MS Project Office etc.,).3-5 years relevant work experience at a large financial services institution.
• Detail-oriented and excellent communication skills.
• Excellent analytical skills.
• Strong interpersonal skills and extremely resourceful.
• Adept at Financial Technology.
• Must exhibit enthusiasm and the ability to influence stakeholders.
