Job Description
Provision of nursing services to clients in line with policies and Programs of SPU
Duties & Responsibilities
Conducts intake assessments through interviews with patients and relatives to gather case history
Plans and provides nursing care for patients
Make nursing diagnosis of the medical and emotional status of patients and recommend treatment options
Consults with psychiatrists and other behavioural health specialists in designing appropriate treatment plans for clients
Ensure implementation of the clients’ treatment plansOrient clients on Hospital policy upon admission for treatment
Administers and notes reactions to psychotropic drugs and other medications
Arranges further medical attention when necessary
Assists the client in understanding the nature of the emotional disturbances and accepting the need for treatment
Assists in maintaining a safe and secure environment for staff and patients
Test for vital signs of pain and ensures treatment of pain
Documents all patient information on medical charts and follows physician’s written orders
Maintains patient confidentiality
Maintains accurate records and documentation of patient treatments, immunizations, and laboratory results according to standard medical record keeping
Performs administrative assignments such as filing, typing and completing progress notes in the filing system
Provides courteous, high quality service to patients and members of the public by personally responding to requests for service
Implement the Set clients’ schedules
Any other Duties assigned to fulfil SPU Mission
Qualifications
Must have a diploma in Psychiatric nursing from a recognized institutionMust be registered with the relevant professional council
At least 2 years working experience in primary health care settings
Experience in information management

Ability to work on short notice (Call of duty may be require)
Ability to work as an individual with minimal supervision and within the team setting
