Job Description
Mbarara Regional Referral Hospital invites applications from suitably qualified persons to fill the following vacancies on contract that exist under the USAID Government to Government Assistance to Mbarara Regional Referral Hospital Activity.
Title: Public Relations Officer
Job Ref: HRM-MRRH-G2G-22-09
No of Vacancies: One
Age below 50 years
Reports to: Hospital Director
Purpose: To promote, the institution, publicize and protect the image of the institution and increase visibility of government programs and services provided.
Minimum Qualification
• Applicants should be Ugandans in possession of an Honors Bachelor’s Degree in Journalism; or Mass Communication, or Arts, or Social Sciences
• A Post Graduate Diploma in Journalism or Public Relations from a recognized University/ Institution will be an added advantage.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
• Releasing public information and publications to local public relations offices, media houses and foreign information organizations
• Coordinating information flow
• Supplying public information and publications to various institutions
• Gathering information raised in the media articles and features on the internet relating to Government
• Any other duties as may be assigned from time to time,
