Job title: Quality Assurance Officer (Temporary For 6 Months)

We are looking for 6 suitable candidates to take on the role of Temporary Quality Assurance Officer to Support the scale up of the moment of truth through training and conducting mentorships to public sector providers in selected facilities to improve access and quality of services to women who opt for DMPA SC self-injection as a method of choice for contraception.

The Temporary Quality Assurance Officers will support mapping and onboarding of selected sites within selected districts for scale up and support the creation of an enabling environment in each of the site to provide quality Family Planning services to their clients.

• To support the training of public sector providers in selected facilities in DMPA-SC Self injection and the moment of truth.
• Conduct mentorship visits to service providers in the scale up selected facilities to ensure quality and client safety, and integration of the moment of truth during service provision.
• Coaching and mentorship of public sector providers in data management while ensuring timely submission of quality monthly reports to the districts and other reporting channels.
• Check continuously and monitor adherence to approved standard operational procedures and protocols, and data quality procedures and protocols by participating facilities and providers in the project and develop action plans to address the identified gaps.
• Provide periodic updates on ongoing activities by participating in PSIU led meetings & partner engagements with weekly and monthly reports.
• Lead the coordination and monitor functionality of the one warehouse one facility strategy to ensure public facilities forecast, order, receive and maintain adequate stocks of DMPA -SC.
• Support the planning and implementation of performance meetings at district level with trained health providers/facilities to review evidence and learnings.
• Contribute to the documentation of key learnings and evidence that will add to the knowledge base on DMPA-SC for self-injection.
• Prepare and submit, weekly, monthly and quarterly activity progress reports on all SRH services as per set project deliverables.
• Perform any other duties as directed by your supervisor

What are we looking for?
• Diploma in midwifery or Clinical medicine
• Valid registration with a professional regulatory body
• At least 3 years of experience with demonstrated ability to work with various partners including
• Ministry of Health (MoH), Local governments, CBOs and other NGOs.
• Experience working with public providers in SRH service delivery is highly desirable
• Previous experience in training and mentorships for clinical services particularly SRH and DMPA SI Services.
• Vast knowledge and experience in Quality Improvement approaches in the Uganda Health care system
• Computer literate with understanding of Microsoft word, excel, power Point and internet use.
• Residence in the district of implementation is an added advantage
