The Infectious Diseases Research Collaboration (IDRC) seeks to hire a suitable candidate for the position of Records Officer. The successful candidate will report to the Clinic Manager. The position will be based in Tororo/Busia district.

Duties and Responsibilities
• Assist study nurses to identify and pick study participants file/charts during clinic visits
Ensuring proper filing of case record forms and other source documents within the study participants file.
• Photocopying of case record forms, laboratory request forms, informed consent forms and other documents for use during clinic visits.
• Proper keeping of study participants files in the filing cabinets
• Work with the study coordinators and study clinicians to file copies of study participants laboratory results
• Repairing worn-out or damaged study participants charts
Work with data officers to ensure complete data entry of all case record forms in study participants’ files and return files to the respective filing cabinets after data entry
• Keep confidentiality of all data on study related documents.

Qualifications and other desirables for the job
• Diploma or equivalent in medical records keeping
