Job Description


Location: Kampala, Albert Lake production installation base or other cities in Uganda is required.

Primary function
• To be responsible for the reservoir research work, including the reservoir and well performance, reserve management, long-term plan, technical negotiation and contract signing etc.

Responsibilities
• Responsible for the oil/gas field reservoir study of oil and gas field study.
• Prepare the Reservoir annual work program and budget and provide management with the proposals in the oil field production predications and allocations budget information.
• Ensure smooth operations and overall department technical support supervise the annual work program and budget and conduct the all
• technical support activities.
• Participate in tendering and conduct the bidding evaluation especially in the technical aspect.
• Monitor the quality and schedule regarding the technical research implemented by different disciplines to support oil field development in line with HSE, work performance standards and budget.
• Responsible for the fluid analysis, well testing, reservoir simulation, production forecast.
• Responsible for the reservoir data acquisition of evaluation of appraisal and development wells.
• In charge of the geology & reservoir study of PRR/FDP study and implementation.
• Analyze the reservoir problems during the stage of development and production and be responsible for the management of geology & reservoir research project.
• Develop reservoir long-term business plan, annual plan, be responsible for geology & reservoir record, submitting quarterly and annual report.
• Provide data and technical advice i to Partners, organize and prepare materials for meetings with partners and GoU.
• Be in charge oi the annual reservoir work program and budget.
• Coach, develop and motivate employees; training junior geologist or trainees.
• Other duties assigned by superior.

Requirements
• Master’s degree or above in Petroleum geology and reservoir engineering the related.
• At least 12 years previous experience, Including 6 years’ in Oil and Gas of which; a minimum of 4 years should be technical experience obtained whilst working in the production phase or major g development project in. oil & gas.

Knowledge
• Extensive knowledge of geology and reservoir research methods of FDP and.
• Extensive knowledge of HIIP evaluation and uncertainties analysis.
• Extensive knowledge of Geomodeling and reservoir modeling.
• Knowledge of exploration, appraisal and oil/gas field development,
• Knowledge of Geophysics, petro physics, reservoir engineering.
• Understanding of petroleum policy and laws.
