Job Description


Our client in the Digital solutions industry which works with transport operators is looking for a highly motivated and productivity-centred candidate to join their team. You will be working in an autonomous, agile environment with a small team that values collaboration, learning, and sharing. Responsibilities:
1. Recruiting intercity bus and shuttle companies and transport providers
2. Recruiting intercity parcel companies
3. Recruiting SMEs that will use parcel systems provided bus, shuttle and parcel companies on the company platform
4. Generate new leads, prospects and partnerships with transport operators.
5. Create a documented sales funnel and work in conjunction with Customer Care and other sales staff
6. Collect and compare relevant data on the target market of bus operators
7. Present strategies for expansion and analyze/study the company’s competitors
8. Manage end-to-end client relationships, including pitching, negotiation, contracting, billing / invoicing, payment collection, customer support, result tracking and troubleshooting on an ongoing and consistent basis
9. Plan and execute activations and other prospecting initiatives
10. Develop and manage sales budget
11. Company products sales execution
12. To be passionate about sales & exceed individual bus operator targets, month on month
13. Be motivated to sell the company’s platform and add more operators based on predetermined targets
14. Work closely with our team to achieve Marketing and brand building needs
15. Market intelligence
16. To understand competitive offerings in the bus industry, pricing, payment methods etc
17. To understand bus operator landscape in country – numbers, concentration, needs and should advise our team about customer acquisition
18. Regular reporting
19. Build a sales pipeline and track leads for conversion efficiently
20. Be able to make presentations to the key decision makers at the company.

Desired skills:
1. (2 –5) years of work experience in B2B Sales and/or IT,software development domain. Direct experience in the Travel or Bus Industry will be an added advantage. Networks within transport are valuable.
2. Familiarity with the geography of Uganda
3. Worked with a CRM
4. Excellent oral and written communication skills in English is mandatory
5. Excellent oral Swahili communication skills, and other local languages are welcome
6. Excellent proposal writing skills
7. Intelligent, enthusiastic and self-motivated individuals
8. Should be comfortable working within multicultural teams
9. Record of very high ethical standards
10. Team oriented
11. Comfortable with ambiguity and unpredictable work hours
12. Excellent communication with non-technical people
13. At least a Bachelor’s degree/certificate in Sales, Marketing and/or IT, Computer Science preferred
