AKES, Uganda is currently seeking to recruit a Security Officer to coordinate all security and safety services for the Aga Khan Schools in Kampala. He/she will be expected to:
• Proactively assess and manage safety and security risks
• Provide leadership in preparing for and responding to security and safety incidents at Aga Khan Schools in Kampala in conjunction with the CEO and Heads of School
• Establish close relationships with relevant law enforcement authorities and other emergency services
• Develop and conduct safety and security drills at the Aga Khan Schools on a regular basis
• Assess the physical infrastructure for safety and security risks and propose mitigation measures
• Train, manage and assess the performance of private security services at the schools
• Investigate and resolve security breaches at the schools

The requirements
Qualifications, Experience and Skills:
• Should have a minimum of five years managing security at a medium-sized organization in Uganda;
• Should be certified by ASIS International as Certified Protection Professional or equivalent
• Should be certified in Facilities Security Management and in Incident Management;
• Must be fluent in spoken and written English
• And possess professional maturity and the ability to get things done.
