Minimum Qualification
– Applicants should be Ugandans holding an Honours Bachelor’s Degree in Agriculture or Agriculture Extension Services from a recognized University/Institution. A post graduate qualification in the above fields will be an added advantage.

Working Experience
– Applicants should have a minimum of three (3) years relevant working experience as an Agricultural Officer in Government.

Duties
The incumbent will be responsible to the Principal Agricultural Officer for performing the following duties:-
– Participating in planning and budgeting for the Agriculture Sub-Sector;
– Implementing Agricultural plans, programmes and activities;
– Writing implementation reports for the Sub-Sector;
– Training staff and farmers on new technologies and methods on farming, disease and pest control;
– Sensitizing people on natural disasters;
– Monitoring and evaluating staff performance;
– Promoting proper Agricultural land utilization;
– Monitoring the supply and use of Agricultural inputs;
– Any other duties that may be assigned from time to time.
