Job Description
Mbarara Regional Referral Hospital invites applications from suitably qualified persons to fill the following vacancies on contract that exist under the USAID Government to Government Assistance to Mbarara Regional Referral Hospital Activity.
Title: Senior Assistant Accountant

Reports To: Accountant
Purpose
Responsible for supporting the Accountant and the Senior Accountant with finance management processes Person Specifications Should have a Uganda Diploma in Business Studies (UDBS)- Accounting Option or Diploma in Business Administration Accounting Option
Key Duties and Responsibilities
• To maintain prime books of entry
• To manage office impress
• Reconciling petty cash and reports of Integrated Financial Management System (IFMS)
• Any other duties assigned by supervisor
• To provide custody for accounting records and documents
• To process deferred tax payments, tax returns and keep records thereof.
To post financial transactions, cashbooks, subsidiary ledgers to General ledger and maintain up to-date record of books of accounts
• To prepare and reconcile payroll transaction reports
• To enter transactions into the commitment control register
• To ensure that all salaries payments are supported by the relevant monthly accurately filled timesheets
• To process payments
• Any other duties as may be assigned from time to time
