Job Description

• Participate, develop and guarantee the quality of the geo-petroleum evaluation and synthesis of basin / permit / prospect or field studies.
• Evaluate and ranking the resources / risks /uncertainties of the prospects to be drilled.
• Develop the most appropriate studies and geological models for the above studies.
• Guarantee proper inter-disciplinary communication within projects.
• Suggest technical exploration programs that reduce risks and to highlight the estimated resources.
• Definition of well location, geological well proposal and work program (data acquisition).
• Interpretation and integration of well results, analysis and interpretation (final well reports and post-mortem) into geological studies including modelling studies.
• Conceive and Validate new evaluation methods.
• Manage / Lead mono-disciplinary projects (including R&D).
• Participate in defining and validating the objectives of a study.
• Maintain and guarantee the quality of regional knowledge (Knowledge management).
• Suggest geological research topics and oversee their research.
• Promote innovative methods and technologies.
• Coordinate, manage and lead teams of specialists in one’s own domain.
• Issue recommendations to technical division management and, if required, to higher management levels.

Candidate profile

• Bachelor of Earth Sciences (or equivalent).
• Minimum 6-9 years’ experience within petroleum exploration and/or development department as petroleum geologist covering some of the aspect of basin synthesis, prospect and field resources evaluation, risk and uncertainty assessments.
• Need experience in field operations and having been exposed to different exploration and field development challenges in different environment/countries.
• Specialization in a domain (structural, geochemistry, sedimentology, modeling, geo-information, etc) is an added advantage.
• Need good knowledge of Company policies, rules and regulations.
