Duties & Responsibilities
• Notifies Team Leader of potentially dangerous systems and takes corrective action.
• Changes hydraulic components of aerial platforms, digger, derricks, cranes, and power operated equipment.
Use work management systems, engineering databases, and maintenance documents to performance work.
• Check mechanical systems on a routine basis for problems or abnormalities.
• To set up, adjust, install, dismantle, and repair various plant equipment, primarily mechanical service equipment and motors in the facility.
• Tests equipment to check operation, tests equipment after repairs, changeovers or extended downtime.
Makes preventive maintenance equipment check and inspection of assigned equipment, reports findings to supervisor and takes appropriate action.
• Examines defects and analyses causes and, where possible, takes corrective action.
• Performs varied mechanical duties such as dismantling, moving, cleaning, repairing and installing facility equipment -Uses hoists, forklift truck, rollers or trolleys to move machinery.

Qualifications, Skills and Experience
• Higher National Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or a Professional Certificate/trainings in Mechanics with 10 years’ experience shall be considered in lieu of the required diploma.
• 15 plus years of work experience in Auto mechanic activities with proven ability and advanced knowledge in strong heavy machinery and equipment.
Ability to operate and perform maintenance on heavy machinery and advanced knowledge in strong heavy machinery and equipment.
• Ability to operate and perform maintenance on heavy machinery.
• Experience working with a construction company on capital projects is a must
