POSITION DESCRIPTION
JOB TITLE: Stores Officer (External)
REPORTS TO: Logistics Supervisor

Job Purpose
• Coordinating inventory management activities and ensuring that optimal levels of inventory are maintained in accordance with quality and quantity standards. Tracking inventory records and ensuring accurate reporting.

Key Responsibilities /Key Deliverables
• Timely process payments for; TV subscription, NW&SC, UMEME/WENRECO.
• Prepare and follow up on Form 5 requisitions, referencing the stationery needs identified by stationery champions, to ensure the timely supply and delivery of all pre-printed and general stationery items, while mitigating the risks associated with stockouts.
• Attend to stores related issues in service desk.
• Prepare and ensure monthly stock counts is carried out with Finance department and compile relevant expense report.
• Prepare monthly reports on inventory requisitions, purchases, distributions, stock balances and advise on obsolete stocks for disposal, running low stocks and over stocked items.
• Coordinate quarterly performance appraisal meetings online /physical with key suppliers, annual for non-key suppliers.
• Submission of monthly inventory reports every 1st of the new month to line supervisor for review and consolidation.
• Any other duties assigned from time to time.
• Effectively manage all inventory contracts for stamps, pens, toners archival boxes, ATM rolls, printed and general stationery, registers.

QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE AND COMPETENCIES REQUIRED
• A bachelor’s degree in business administration or any relevant field.
• Prior Experience in inventory management, stock control, or related roles is highly valued.
• Demonstrate collaborative work style, strong leadership skills and should have the ability to take proper decision and action whenever any difficult situation arises.
