Masaka District Council is the policy-making organ of the Local Government. Masaka District is one of the oldest districts in Uganda. Originally, it consisted of Rakai, Kalangala, Sembabule, Kalungu, Bukomansimbi, and Lwengo making it once the largest district in Uganda.
