Overall purpose of the job.
To plan, develop, program and supervise the installation, maintenance, repair and replacement of all electronic instruments and gadgets throughout the company.

Key Responsibilities
• Receive and analyse all machine failures for any action maintenance.
• Arrange relevant repair orders and maintenance schedules in order to rectify the breakdowns.
• Allocate specific repair and maintenance tasks to subordinate staff and consequently monitor their work performance.
• Supervise the installation of new electrical gadgets and components in accordance with the manufacturers’ manuals.
• Supervise all electrical repairs in homes around the estate.
• Oversee the routine and preventive maintenance of all overhead lines.
• Supervise all repair and maintenance work on transformers and substations on the estate.
• Supervise all routine maintenance operations, establish and maintain scheduled inspections of electrical systems throughout the estate to minimize costs and achieve efficiency.
• Prepare requisitions for materials to be used for repairs or installations as and when required.
• Keep records of all breakdowns and how they have been rectified for future reference.
• Carry out on job training to enhance skilled manpower capacity building.
• Prepare and submit daily and other relevant periodical reports about all repair and maintenance activities carried out in the section to the Dy. Electrical Engineering Manager.
• Adhere to and enforce company safety, health and environment regulations in place among subordinate employees
• Perform any other related duties as may be assigned to you by Dy. Electrical Engineering Manager / management from time to time.

Knowledge, qualifications & Experience
Education:
• A B. SC. degree in electrical engineering or its equivalent from a recognized institution.
• A certificate in supervisory management is an added advantage.

Experience, Skills and Competences:
• A minimum of five (5) years hands on experience in a process industry, three (3) years of which should have been in a big food processing company at a supervisory level.
• Knowledge in electrical power safety regulations, electrical power handling principles and practices, electric shock first aid treatment, technical maintenance engineering procedures, ability to interpret technical drawings and sketches, basic supervisory skills, good communication and interpersonal skills.
