Job Summary:
• To plan, organize and implement an appropriate instructional program in a learning environment that guides and encourages students of the Environmental Health Sciences to fully develop skills and fulfil their academic potential. The job holder will work as part of the team to ensure that the curriculum, as set by the Ministry of Education and Sports, is delivered at the set standards and that examination are conducted in line with the Uganda Allied Health Professionals Examinations body guidelines and procedures. The expected result is well natured students that demonstrate a high degree of professionalism and academic excellence.
Job Requirements:
• A Bachelors degree in Environmental Health Sciences, plus a post graduate Diploma or Degree in Medical Education. A Master’s Degree in Environmental Health Sciences or Public Health will be an added advantage. S/he must be registered with the allied health professionals’ council with a valid Annual Practicing Licence.

Knowledge and experience:
• The successful candidate must have a minimum of 1 years’ experience as a Tutor in Recognized Institution of Higher Learning or 3 years’ experience in a busy Public Health setting. S/he must have demonstrable experience/knowledge of relevant MOH/MOES guidelines and policies, plus ability to network and liaise with various partners.
• All applicants must have a Non-judgmental approach to human relations; be in sympathy with MIHS’s Christian values; possess good communication and interpersonal skills; and must be able to maintain good working relationships with clients and colleagues. Customer focus is paramount.
