Overall Job Objective:
The Welder in the Agriculture department’s Irrigation & Drainage section is responsible for conducting metal fabrication and welding tasks on new and existing installations to ensure optimal equipment availability for sugarcane irrigation.
The role includes interpreting engineering drawings, performing repair works, maintaining detailed records of completed tasks, enforcing safety policies, and collaborating with the Pump & Pipe Maintenance Supervisor.

The ideal candidate holds a
• Diploma/Craft Certificate in boiler making or welding,
• has a minimum of three years of experience, and possesses skills in various welding techniques, mechanical fitting, task allocation, and record-keeping.
